Trump: Bring a sharp weapon law, do not be afraid of a powerful lobby
Contrary to the views of his party, he urged MPs to pass a “sharp” weapons law.
He proposed a security check for all arms buyers and lifting the age limit from 18 to 21 years.
Trump’s comment came shortly after a shooting at a Florida school where 17 people died.
– I want you to pass a strict and sharp law, especially sharp when it comes to security checks, – he told the White House on Wednesday, encouraging them to co-operate on passing laws.
He said the NRA “has great power over people”, but that the lobby is “less powerful” than him.
